Lt. Governor Candidate Metcalfe
Sends Open Letter to
CRANBERRY---
Pennsylvania’s Accountability Candidate for Lt. Governor, State
Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler)
sent the following open email letter to Pennsylvania
Republican State Committee members Tuesday, March 30, 2010: How many
politicians do you trust?
The most common response I receive is also the same as my answer: “not
many”.
Republican imposters claim the enduring G.O.P. platform of
lower taxes, limited
government, upholding the
Constitution and protecting
family values, and then fail to hold these “principles” once
elected.
Less than a
year ago, PA
The office of Lt. Governor has
been at best a silent partner to the Governor, and, at worst, an all-too-willing
accomplice as the Executive Branch has trampled the rights of citizens.
I am in the
race to redefine the office of
Lt. Governor as the voice of
accountability for the people of I am asking
for the support of every independent-minded Republican State Committee person
that is fed up with being asked to settle for the G.O.P. establishment’s RINO
candidates. I know if you fit the
above description you are in the minority.
What the public does not generally know is that individual State
Committee votes are not released, the majority of the State Committee members
are just puppets, yes men and yes women, pawns of the powerbrokers and
kingmakers who try to control the party.
Since my
announcement to enter the nine-way race for the Republican nomination, political
reporters have recognized the viability of my campaign.
The establishment has also noticed.
Their first maneuver was to file a petition challenge to Jean Craig
Pepper’s candidacy in an attempt to force her off the ballot so she would not
drain the pro-abortion RINO votes from their South East candidate.
Next, a right to know request for detailed expenses and salary
information from my very first day in office, Dec. 1, 1998, was submitted to the
PA House of Representatives from a Whether it’s
fighting to protect taxpayers,
upholding our God-given right to keep and
bear arms; or protecting the innocent
life of the unborn, not one of my opponents, including the state GOP
establishment’s anointed candidate, can match my state and nationally-recognized
record on these and many other core Republican values. I have the
experience, state-wide name recognition, principled legislative track record and
needed message of accountability that poses a serious and legitimate threat to
the establishment’s candidate. If
you are as disgusted with the political forces that continue to manipulate our
party for their personal benefit as I am then I invite you to join me in this
battle. For Daryl

Lt. Governor
Candidate Metcalfe Opens
Accountability
Central Headquarters
CRANBERRY—“You are now standing at ground zero of State
Government Accountability Central,”
said
State Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler)
today to an enthusiastic and energized group of supporters during the official
opening of his campaign headquarters for Lt.
Governor of Pennsylvania, located at 217
Executive Drive, Suite 104A, in Cranberry Township, Butler County.
“I am not running to march in
line, but to redefine the office of Lt. Governor as the predominant voice of
accountability for the people of Pennsylvania,”
stated Metcalfe.
“If Pennsylvania’s next Governor, like so many politicians, breaks his
word and raises taxes, supports more government programs that redistribute the
hard earned dollars of taxpayers or signs laws that infringe on our rights, then
I will publicly challenge the Governor and be ready to challenge the Governor in
the next primary election.
“The most effective and
shortest path to creating more government transparency and stopping the special
and self-serving interests that continue to destroy our economy and our state,
is to make accountability absolutely central both morally and economically,”
added Metcalfe “Once I’m
elected Lt. Governor, the path to maximum government accountability will begin
with me.” During today’s remarks Metcalfe challenged Pennsylvania
voters to match the overall record, or lack of accountability, for each of his
opponents versus his proven, uncompromising legislative track record of
protecting taxpayers and family values in the
Pennsylvania House of Representatives,
which includes:
·
Signing the Americans for Tax Reform pledge and never voting for a tax increase
during more than 11 years in office.
·
Spearheading the successful repeal of the unconstitutional 2005 state government
pay raise.
·
Working to reduce the waste, inefficiency and cost of welfare.
·
Preserving Second Amendment liberty and organizing
·
Standing up for state’s rights and founding a national coalition of state
legislators dedicated to ending
·
Fighting to stop state tax dollars from going to Planned Parenthood, the world’s
largest abortion provider.
·
Defending marriage between one man and one woman.
·
Restoring parental control over a child’s education.
·
Outlawing teacher strikes and compulsory unionism.
“The most important question
for voters to ask during this year’s election is, “Which candidates deserve your
trust?” concluded Metcalfe. “Whether it’s
Putting
Taxpayers First,
rather than trough-feeding special interests;
upholding our
God-given right to keep and bear arms; or
protecting the
innocent life of the unborn, not one of my opponents, and especially
not the state GOP establishment’s anointed candidate, can match my established
track record on each and every one of these issues.
As far as holding the governor accountable in these areas, not one of the
candidates for the office of

during their campaigns and then do just the opposite once elected. We must
